Why We're Unique

Academic Excellence and Community Involvement are the Winning Formula for our Students in High School, College and in Life

Everest Public High School was modeled after Summit Preparatory Charter High School in Redwood City and shares the same core mission and values. We also expect to share in similar successes. The Summit model was born from the aspirations, dreams and vision of local parents, teachers, and community members. These grass-roots community organizers committed themselves to creating an exemplary school that puts every single student into college. Since these schools opened (in 2003 at Summit and in 2009 at Everest), they have been preparing a diverse student population for success in four-year colleges. These schools have achieved this not only with academic excellence, but also with the vital knowledge and experience that helps our students to be of strong character and feel involved with their communities.

A Model of Success That is Altering What's Possible in Public Education

See Summit featured in the movie "Waiting for Superman" that delivers the powerful message that every child deserves an education.
