The current Summit Model Schools are Summit Preparatory Charter High School and Everest Public High School, both located in Redwood City. Summit Prep, the original model school, is seven years old and enrolls an extremely diverse student population that is reflective of the local school district. Summit Prep is one of the top performing high schools in the country based on API, AP performance, drop-out rates and college acceptance rates.
Everest, a charter recently approved by the California State Board of Education, opened in the fall of 2009 with an inaugural class of 9th graders. Everest is an exact replication of Summit Prep and offers a proven program combined with a dynamic, entrepreneurial, start-up environment.
Everest and Summit are seeking high performing teachers for a limited number of teaching positions in English, history, mathematics, science, Spanish and special education.

Beginning February 2010, the Summit Model Schools will invite select candidates for an initial conversation with the organizations’ leaders. Conversations will continue until positions are filled.
